Reflecting on my journey in the RN-BSN program at Broward College, this has been a challenging experience for me but I also thought of this as one of my incredible journey. I have learned to be strong and manage my time wisely. I work full-time at Broward Health system and go to school full-time. Throughout this program I have learned so many aspects of nursing that I was unfamiliar with, and also learned more about the advanced roles in nursing. I also gained knowledge in many nursing theories and the influence of evidence- based practice and research that have impact in nursing practice, in providing patients care with optimum outcomes. I have also had the opportunity to create service learning (ASL) projects  with fellow classmates focusing on course objectives, while engaging in meaningful community service activities. It helps improve my skills and attitude in working as a team, I communicate to my group via email, phone and meeting them face to face to complete our projects.
The RN-BSN program at Broward College has provided licensed registered nurses like me, with the opportunity to gain knowledge of various aspects and concepts of nursing. This program has been very beneficial to me as I uncovered various roles, dimensions and perspectives of nursing. This program really helps me improved academically and professionally. It enhanced my writing skills, and had an opportunity to learn the American Psychological Association (APA) writing format, although it required a lot of reading and boot camp it is truly a good opportunity to learn. The RN-BSN program has also facilitated my learning in writing scholarly papers, finding scholarly research articles, critiquing research articles and formulating learning projects. I also learned to give back to less fortunate population, one example is giving health products to homeless. Which is very rewarding to me as shown in the pictures below.
I hope to encourage someone out there who has an associate degree in nursing and want to pursue her/his bachelors in nursing. The program is design for working nurses although it requires a lot of patients and hard work it is so worth it. So take a chance to sacrifice and follow your dream. My plan is to continue to  pursue for my master, my interest are in nursing informatics and also to become a nurse practitioner.
